Description
Barbados!
The birthplace of rum.
Nestled in the midst of thick foliage at Cherry Tree Hill, St. Peter, you’ll find St. Nicholas Abbey. The entrance to the 160-year-old Jacobean-style plantation house is lined with mahogany trees, planted centuries ago.
One of the few structures of its kind remaining in the Western Hemisphere, a visit here provides an opportunity to sample one of the world’s premier alcoholic beverages since rum-tasting forms part of the tour. But just in case you’re more interested in architecture or history, that’s available as well.
